My Life in a Nutshell

Updated: Dec 11, 2021

I'm Rabbanah Giu Barte Villanueva, born on November 24, 2004 at the time of 1:00-2:30 a.m. in Pangasinan, Northern Luzon, Philippines.

I was born and raised in a family of strong moral values. They are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They teach me to become an ambitious, intelligent, and independent human being.

As the years went by, I grew up pretty well since my mother really cared for me since I was the first baby boy in the family.

I spent my toddler years wondering about many things. Sometimes I wondered how the world really works, how life could be valued, how it could be that meaningful.

When I became an Elementary Student, my perspective in life changed abruptly. I met a lot of very genuine friends. They are the ones who made me realize that life could really be that meaningful, and I’m very grateful for it.

But as I entered my teenage years, I was very depressed because of the traumatic experiences that happened to me in the past. However, I met many new good-natured and very sensible friends as I moved forward with faith. They helped me overcome my fear and anxiety.

When I turned 12 years old, I received my first calling to the Church, called “Deacons Quorum President.” One of only four people in the ward who hold the keys of the presidency. With those keys, me, with my counselors, will lead the quorum under the inspiration of the Lord.”

In the same year, I entered Junior High School and decided to study at Pangasinan National High School.

I took Special Program for the Arts in Music Rondalla, which helped me be featured in “Unang Hirit and Balitang Amianan,” a Philippine television news broadcasting and talk show broadcast by GMA Network to showcase my talent in music with my fellow students and colleagues.

I love my campus experiences at Pangasinan National High School. It is truly an outstanding school because of the school programs, activities even the quality of the education. As I participated in the school activities, my knowledge and skills grew more and more.

However, My Junior High School journey ended last July 16, 2021. I graduated with High Honors via Facebook live, which is cool because we are in the middle of a Pandemic.

And now, I’m currently studying Humanities and Social Sciences Strand (HUMSS) for my Senior High School, but I’m really not sure what to do next after my Senior High School. Should I stop for two years and serve a full-time mission to serve the Lord, or should I accept the opportunities to study abroad?

You know in life, there is no certainty. But I’m Rabbanah Giu Villanueva, and I will always choose to take a leap of faith. How about you, what’s your name?
